Foundation Governor
My wife Clare and I, moved to Feniton in 2010 with our two daughters. Both our children, Amelia and Jenna attended Feniton Primary School throughout their primary education, and both now attend Kings School, in Ottery St.Mary.
I joined the Governing Board at the inception of the Otter Valley Federation in September 2013, and I am currently the Lead Safeguarding Governor, and Chair of the Admissions Committee.
I have been employed by Devon & Cornwall Police since 2004, having previously worked in retail management, and catering management prior to that.
Outside of work, I am a reserve soldier within 167 Catering Support Regiment, RLC (Army Reserve), having joined what was then the Territorial Army in 1990. This has provided me with opportunities to travel widely across the world in support of regular and reserve forces, and undertake operational tours. For the past four years I have been an active member of the regimental shooting team, competing annually in several national competitions.
At home, I enjoy going to the gym, I can often also be found cycling around the local area, and gardening, but like most parents most of my time involves the activities of the children. As family we had been regular attendees when the children were younger at Storytime, St Andrews Church since we moved to the village.
