I joined the Governors in September 2014. My wife Daphne and I moved into the area
In 2013 following our retirement and we now worship and sing in the Church Choir at Tipton St John and other local choirs.
During my teaching career in Secondary schools I taught for a time in an Anglican Voluntary Aided school and held a number of posts in schools including Head of Sixth Form and Senior Teacher. I was also involved in curriculum development projects with the Schools Council and Manpower Services Commission and I still have a particular interest in school improvement and the work of our Inclusive schools across the spectrum of abilities.
In later years I worked in the airfreight industry at Heathrow.
Our son lives locally but our daughter has emigrated to Edinburgh. They both work in marketing and sales with a particular emphasis on the USA although the products are very different, musical instruments and educational software respectively.
I enjoy watching wildlife, gardening and the countryside in the beautiful Otter Valley.
