Otter Valley Federation

Believing and Achieving Together to be The Best We Can Be

Mark Humphries

Foundation Governor

My wife Clare and I, moved to Feniton in 2010 with our two daughters. Our youngest Jenna is a pupil at Feniton Primary School, and Amelia now attends Kings School.

I joined the Governing Board of Otter Valley Federation in 2014, and I am currently the Lead Safeguarding Governor, and Chair of the Admissions Committee.

I have been employed by Devon & Cornwall Police since 2004, having previously worked in retail management, and catering management prior to that.

Outside of work, I am a reserve soldier within 167 Catering Support Regiment, RLC (Army Reserve), having joined what was then the Territorial Army in 1990. This has provided me with opportunities to travel widely across the world in support of regular and reserve forces, and undertake operational tours.  For the past two years I have been an active member of the regimental shooting team, competing annually in several national competitions.

At home, I enjoy going to the gym, and gardening, but like most parents most of my time involves the activities of the children.  As family we have been regular attendees at Storytime, St Andrews Church since we moved to the village.

  • Ethos

The Federation shares a strong ethos:

We aim to reflect God's love, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

    John 10:10
